Even though we gave this facility a terrible overall grade, we gave it a B in nursing. Our nursing score assesses the nursing home's nurse staffing levels. Nursing homes that receive this type of grade in this category may not provide the kind of consistent 24/7 care that some other facilities provide. After assessing the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination data. We were a bit worried that this facility vaccinated 87.60108 percent of its patients for pneumonia, which happens to be quite a bit less than the national average. To our surprise, this nursing home was actually decent at keeping its patients out of the hospital. Indeed, it had only 0.03 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days. This was its best score in this category.
