Nurse Quality
Turning to the last category, this facility received a very strong nursing grade. Even though this isn't as good as some of its other category grades, this remains one of the stronger scores a facility can receive. There are a variety of data points within this grade. Most of these data points reflect levels of nurse staffing. This nursing home averages 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also looked at several nursing quality-based metrics and this place excelled in some of these areas. With less than five percent of its residents sustaining pressure ulcers, it performed as well as any facility the country in this category. This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can many times be avoided by providing better nursing care, such as having a protocol of turning a patient even once per day.
