Nursing homes with higher grades in this area typically have few severe deficiencies. Although this nursing home had some deficiencies on its government inspection report, none of them were serious based on CMS' deficiency scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Nurse Quality

Grade: A

The fourth category we graded is nursing, where this facility was awarded an A. This finished off a very favorable profile. Few facilities earned an A- or better in all four categories. There are a variety of criteria within this category. Many of the data points reflect levels of nurse staffing. This nursing home provides 0.5 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also looked at several nursing quality-based metrics and this place excelled in some of these areas. With less than five percent of its residents sustaining pressure ulcers, it performed as well as any facility the country in this category. This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can frequently be avoided by offering better nursing care, such as by having a protocol of moving patients more frequently.
