Facility Inspections

Grade: A-plus

In addition to performing well overall, this nursing home received nearly flawless government inspections. As a result, it received one of our highest scores in that area with a grade of A+. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in determining these inspection scores. One critical factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of the deficiencies is arguably more important than the number of deficiencies, as some deficiencies are quite insignificant. While this facility had some deficiencies on its government inspection report, none of them were major deficiencies based on CMS' scale. A few relatively minor dings aren't necessarily something to panic about.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

This facility also received a first-rate short-term care grade. In fact, this turned out to be this facility's second most impressive category score. In that category, we awarded this facility a score of A-. Short-term care ratings are important for people looking for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation usually utilizes more highly-skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes a vast range of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not every nursing home employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, according to the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The last datapoint we assessed in this area is the percentage of residents who were able to leave the facility and return to the community. We found that 5.6 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home.

Nurse Quality

Grade: A-minus

Adding to its strong resume, this facility also received an excellent nursing score, with a grade of A-. Nursing ratings are based in large part on quality and quantity of nursing care. This nursing home averages 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well in terms of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: B-minus

The next area we analyzed was long-term care. This facility was given a favorable long-term care grade in our assessment, with a B-. While this is not as dominant as several of its other category grades, this is still an acceptable score in that area. Our long-term care ratings are more important for residents needing more conventional services associated with activities of daily living. After we finished assessing the quantity of care provided by nurses, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination statistics. This nursing home vaccinated 92.98246 percent of its residents for pneumonia. Fortunately, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
