Facility Inspections
To go along with its strong overall grade, we gave this place an A+ for the area of inspections. Inspection scores account for several factors included in a nursing home's inspection report. One of the most important criteria we look at is the number and severity of deficiencies. Nursing homes with higher scores in this category generally have very few severe deficiencies. While this place had some deficiencies on its government inspection report, none were severe based on CMS' deficiency scale. The fact that none of the deficiencies were severe leaves us less concerned with this inspection report.
Short-term Care Quality
This nursing home performed well in the category of short-term care. As a result, we gave it a score of A- for that category, which is one of our most favorable grades. Our short-term care grades are based in part on the nursing home's quantity of skilled highly skilled professionals. This means a broad scope of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this facility employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Finally, we looked at the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 5.5 percent of this facility's residents returned home.

Nurse Quality
This facility's next best category was its nursing grade, where it received a grade of C. While this didn't quite match its scores in some of the categories discussed above, this is still a decent score. Our nursing score is based on several factors, most of which are associated with levels of nurse staffing. This facility provided just 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a relatively low total compared to most other facilities. Lastly, our nursing ratings also factor in quality-based measures, such as preventing major falls. Despite not having the most impressive total nursing hours per resident, this facility performed admirably in the area of preventing major falls. This is often an indicator that a facility has sufficient quality controls in place. Many falls can be avoided if a facility provides enough nurses aids to assist its patients.
Long-term Care Quality
The last area we rated was long-term care, which ended up being this nursing home's worst area. We gave this facility a D in that area. Sadly, this grade pulled down the facility's overall grade to some degree. In a long-term care setting, the facility's primary objective is to maintain patients' quality of life and keep them safe. On top of assessing the quantity of care provided by aids and other staff, we also looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This facility administered the vaccine to 99.20635 percent of its residents. Surprisingly, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this nursing home had fewer hospitalizations than most nursing homes. Sadly, a few of its other scores in the category were not as favorable as these.
