In addition to a phenomenal overall grade, this facility also received A+ nursing grade. Our nursing grade includes quite a few factors, most of which are associated with levels of nurse staffing. This nursing home provided 5.4 hours of nursing care per resident each day, which was among the higher totals we found. Lastly, this place also excelled in the quality measures we looked at. It performed as well as any facility the country when it comes to minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers.
Short-term Care Quality
We also gave this facility a score of A+ for its short-term care grade. In determining our short-term care grades, we size up a nursing home's levels of skilled nursing, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists respiratory therapists and other highly skilled individuals. This score is more often than not a solid assessment of the nursing home's rehabilitation services. This nursing home is respectable both in terms of its quantity of physical therapy and registered nurse hours provided to its residents. The final item we looked at in this area is the percentage of patients who were able to leave the facility and return to the community. We found that it performed as well as just about any nursing home in Missouri in this area with 72.2 percent of its patients returning home.
