This nursing home received a solid overall grade as described above, but we really wanted to emphasize its nearly flawless inspection reports in recent years. We awarded them an impressive grade of A+ in this category. Inspection ratings are based on many pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that receive favorable grades in this area tend to have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. Amazingly, this was one of the few nursing homes in the country that had no deficiencies whatsoever on its inspection report. This is very impressive. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Turning to an additional strength for this nursing home, we awarded it a superb long-term care grade. In fact, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A-. When nursing homes receive this kind of score in long-term care it is usually a good sign for resident care and suggests that the place is well-staffed with nurses and aids. Once we assessed the quantity of care provided by aids and other staff, we turned to the nursing home's vaccination record. This nursing home vaccinated 100 percent of its patients against pneumonia.
