We really couldn't find anything positive to say about this facility. It received a D in our short-term care rating. Unfortunately, this ended up being its best category. Short-term care grades are based in part on a nursing home's quantity of highly-skilled nursing services. This includes a wide spectrum of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, not to mention other variations of therapy. With its grade in this category, we were not surprised to learn that this nursing home was well below average in terms of the quantity of registered nurse and physical therapy hours offered to its residents based on the metrics we looked at. The last item we considered in this area is the percentage of patients that were able to return home from the nursing home. Candidly, we were a bit bothered by the fact that this nursing home vaccinated a relatively low 80.833336 percent of its residents. To our surprise, this nursing home was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this nursing home has less hospitalizations than most nursing homes. This is its best feature in this category.

The last area we rated was nursing, in which this nursing home received an abysmal score in this area also. Sadly, it received an F for this area, which is obviously somewhat alarming. There are numerous criteria included in this area. Many of the criteria relate to nurse staffing. This facility provided just 0.2 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a very low total compared to most nursing homes. To pair with its subpar totals in the area of nursing hours per resident, this facility also didn't fare as well in the quality-based measures we looked at in determining our nursing ratings. We looked at the percentage of patients experiencing pressure ulcers and major falls. This place had more pressure ulcers and falls than the average facility.
