Short-term Care Quality

Grade: A

In addition to being a first rate facility overall, this nursing home also excelled in our short-term care category, where it earned an impressive grade of A. In forming our short-term care grades, we look at the nursing home's skilled nursing services, such as those performed by registered nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and other types of therapists. The purpose is to formulate a barometer for sizing up the rehabilitation services of various nursing homes. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. However, based on the information this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we considered the number of patients that eventually returned home from this nursing home. We found that 5.5 percent of this facility's patients returned home.
