Facility Inspections
While we did not rate this facility well overall, we wanted to note its decent inspection reports in recent years. We gave it a relatively respectable grade of B- in this category. We would argue that one of the most critical factors in evaluating an inspection report is deficiencies. We especially look at the severity of those deficiencies. This particular nursing home received 2 deficiencies on its inspection report. Another red flag is that CMS cited this nursing home for possible abuse or neglect. Hopefully, its performance improves in the future, but until then we simply can't recommend this facility.
Nurse Quality
This nursing home actually received a decent grade in the area of nursing as well. We awarded it a grade of B- for that category, which is not a bad score. Nursing scores are mostly associated with the facility's nurse staffing. This place provided just 0.4 hours of nursing care per patient per day. This is a relatively low total compared to most other nursing homes. Finally, despite not having the highest total nursing hours per resident, this place performed admirably in the metric of preventing major falls. This is generally a good indicator that a facility has sufficient quality controls in place.

Short-term Care Quality
This nursing home's third highest area turned out to be its short-term care grade, where it was given a B-. Short-term care grades are based on a facility's quantity of skilled nursing services. This means a wide range of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. Unfortunately, this nursing home was below average in terms of its number of physical therapy and registered nurse hours provided to its residents based on the measures we assessed. Finally, we looked at the percentage of patients that eventually returned home from this nursing home. We found that 4.8 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was actually quite a bit below the national average.
Long-term Care Quality
The next category we rated was long-term care. In that category, we gave this facility a B-. In computing our long-term care ratings, we look at the assistance with daily living offered to the facility's patients. After considering the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination records. We were optimistic to discover that this nursing home vaccinated 95.652176 percent of its residents against pneumonia. Finally, this place was also able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.
