While we graded this facility incredibly poorly overall, it received a fairly respectable inspection report this year. As a result, it received a decent grade in that category with a score of B-. Inspection ratings account for several factors included in a facility's inspection reports. One of the most important criteria we look at is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. This place was assessed 5 deficiencies on its inspection report, but we were relieved to see that none were considered to be major deficiencies. This means that the inspectors did not deem any of the deficiencies to create an immediate threat to patient safety or health. Finally, this facility was cited by CMS for possible abuse or neglect. We would not recommend this facility under any circumstance.

This nursing home also didn't fare too badly in the category of long-term care. Indeed, we awarded it a C for that category, which wound up being another one of its better scores. Our long-term care ratings are important for prospective residents needing non-healthcare services such as personal care. Once we concluded our assessment of the quantity of care provided by nurses, we then analyzed the nursing home's vaccination records. Frankly, we were a bit bothered by the fact that this facility vaccinated just 82.28438 percent of its residents against pneumonia. Nevertheless, this facility keeps its residents out of the hospital. Indeed, it had only 0.02 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.

We also wanted to draw your attention to this facility's poor nursing grade where it received an F. The nursing score analyzes several subcategories, however, the primary one is the quantity of nurse hours spent with patients. This particular nursing home provided just 0.3 hours of nursing care per patient per day. This number is far below the national average. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing scores. This facility performed well in terms of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers.

The final category we rated was short-term care, in which this facility was given a very poor score in this category as well. We gave it a lowly F in this category, which is definitely a major concern. Our short-term care grades are arguably more critical for those requiring rehabilitation from their nursing home.
