The main reason this nursing home received a decent overall score is its excellent health inspections in recent years. We awarded them one of our higher grades in that area, with an A. This is a notably better grade than the place's overall score, which was decent but not in the elite range. We also gave this nursing home a decent score in the category of nursing care, with a grade of B-. Nursing grades are heavily correlated with quantity of nursing care available. Despite having low quantities of nursing care, this nursing home fared better in some of the quality-based metrics we looked at. In fact, it performed well in terms of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care. In some cases, the quality of nursing care is every bit as important as the quantity of hours of care offered.
