Facility Inspections

Grade: A-plus

In addition to receiving an elite overall grade, this facility earned an A+ inspection rating. This is based on the facility's recent government inspections. An A+ in this area is one of the best complements we can offer a nursing home. Inspection scores weigh several factors, including deficiencies, substantiated complaints and federal fines. You can find more information about each of these issues by reviewing copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. While this place had some deficiencies on its report, none of them were severe based on CMS' scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Nurse Quality

Grade: A

One of the other reasons we graded this facility so highly is that it earned a very impressive nursing rating. In that area, we awarded this facility an A. Our nursing score analyzes the nursing home's nurse staffing levels. We weigh both the levels of skill of those nurses and the number of hours spent with residents. This nursing home provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also looked at several nursing quality-based metrics and this nursing home excelled in some of these areas. With less than five percent of its residents sustaining pressure ulcers, it performed as well as any place the nation in this category. This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can typically be prevented by offering better nursing care, such as by employing a system of moving a resident more often.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

Turning the page to our next category, we gave this nursing home a score of A- for its long-term care grade. This is a first-rate rating. Long-term care scores in this range generally require both 24/7 care from nurses and aids, as well as quality routine healthcare services. One of the criteria we considered after nursing hours was vaccinations. This facility provided the pneumonia vaccination to 93.47826 percent of its residents. Lastly, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B-plus

In the final area, we awarded this nursing home an A+ for its short-term care rating. This wrapped up a very impressive profile. In our short-term care category, we strive to forge a meaningful measure for rehabilitation. In doing so, we assess the nursing home's offerings of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as occupational therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the data this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The last datapoint we assessed in this category is the percentage of patients who were able to leave the nursing home and return to the community. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.
