Facility Inspections
On top of being a strong facility overall, it also earned A+ inspections in recent years. Its inspections are nearly flawless. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in computing our inspection scores. One critical factor is health deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of the deficiencies is usually more important than the quantity of deficiencies, as some end up being quite insignificant. It does not appear that we were able to find deficiency counts for this nursing home. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Short-term Care Quality
This nursing home also received an A+ short-term care grade, rendering it one of the few facilities to be given several A+ category scores. Short-term care grades are commonly used to assess a nursing home's rehabilitation services. To provide highly graded rehabilitation services, nursing homes generally need to feature higher levels of skilled nursing services. These types of services include registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and other highly skilled individuals. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. However, according to the information they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Lastly, we looked at the percentage of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 6.8 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.

In determining our nursing scores, we look at both the number of hours nurses spend with residents and the skill levels of those nurses. This particular nursing home provided 0.7 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed certain nursing quality-based metrics in computing our nursing grades.
