While we were fairly low on this nursing home overall, we awarded it an A for our inspections rating. This score is far more impressive than the facility's overall grade. Inspection grades account for several factors found on a nursing home's inspection report. One key criteria we look at is the number and severity of deficiencies. You should avoid facilities with a list of severe deficiencies flagged. While this place had some minor dings on its government inspection report, it had zero severe deficiencies. A few minor deficiencies aren't the end of the world.

This figure was below the national average.

Among this nursing home's several poor grades was its F in the area of nursing care. In computing our nursing scores, we assess both nursing hours and the skill levels of those nurses. This nursing home offered just 0.3 hours of nursing care per patient daily. This is well below average. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing scores. This facility performed well when it comes to avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. Many consider these areas to be indicators of the quality of nursing care.

It had just 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. Unfortunately, a few of its other scores in this category were not as favorable as these.
