To go along with its excellent overall score, we awarded this nursing home an A for nursing. Our nursing rating looks at the nursing home's level of nurse staffing. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This facility performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a place has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can many times be avoided if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.

Our purpose is to formulate a measure for comparing the rehabilitation services of different nursing homes. Fortunately, it looks like this facility employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. However, based on the information they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Lastly, we assessed the percentage of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 6.1 percent of this facility's residents returned home.

Another impressive feature of this facility is its inspection grade. In that area, we awarded this facility a grade of A. Our inspection ratings are based on many pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that excel in this area typically have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. This particular nursing home had just a single deficiency on its inspection report and it was not one deemed to pose a threat to patient health or safety. Even some of the best nursing homes receive an occasional ding on their inspection report.

The final area we graded was long-term care, in which this facility was awarded a grade of B-. While this wound up being its lowest category rating, this is nevertheless not the end of the world. Our long-term care grades are critical for individuals seeking personal care. One of the criteria we considered on top of nurse's aid hours was vaccinations. Thankfully, this nursing home provided the pneumonia vaccination to 99.23077 percent of its patients. Lastly, this facility was also able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0.01 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
