Facility Inspections
This nursing home also received a virtually flawless inspection report. As a result, it received one of our highest scores in that category with an A+. This was one of the few facilities to receive multiple A+ category grades. Perhaps the most critical factor we consider in computing our inspection grades is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a facility's recent inspection reports. Places with higher scores in this category typically dodged the most severe deficiencies involving health risks or even death. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that we were able to find deficiency data for this facility. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Nurse Quality
We also wanted to emphasize the fact that this facility received an impressive grade of A in our nursing category. Our nursing grade is mostly tied to the nursing home's nurse staffing. This facility provided 0 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well in the area of minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
Short-term Care Quality
In the final category, this nursing home also received an impressive short-term care grade, with a grade of B+. This rounded out a very favorable report card. In computing our short-term care scores, we look at a nursing home's levels of skilled nursing services, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists occupational therapists and other types of therapists. This category is generally a fair assessment of a facility's ability to rehabilitate patients. We were not able to track down information on registered nurse or physical therapy staffing for this nursing home. Finally, we considered the percentage of patients who were able to return home from this facility. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.
