Facility Inspections
While we gave this facility a terrible overall grade, we awarded it a grade of B+ for our inspections category. This is the result of the facility receiving a decent government inspection report this year. Inspection scores are based on datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Deficiencies are a key item to look for on these inspections. Most importantly, you should avoid nursing homes that have severe deficiencies linked to risks to resident well being. This facility was hit with 3 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none of the deficiencies were considered to be severe. This means that the inspectors didn't consider any of the deficiencies an imminent threat to patient safety or health. A couple minor deficiencies aren't the end of the world.
Long-term Care Quality
Turning to the area of long-term care, this facility was given just a D in this category. Sadly, this proved to be one of its better features. Facilities that receive this kind of score in this category likely don't provide the kind of consistent around the clock care that some other nursing homes provide. In addition to considering the quantity of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we also looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. Candidly, we were a bit concerned this facility gave the vaccine to a relatively low 34.313725 percent of its patients. To our surprise, this place was actually decent at keeping its residents out of the hospital. In fact, it had just 0.02 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. This is its best score in this category.

Nurse Quality
Unfortunately, we gave this facility an F for its nursing grade. Nursing grades are heavily correlated with nurse staffing levels. This nursing home offered a meager 0.3 hours of nursing care per patient daily. This is not a very impressive figure. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in calculating our nursing grades. This place fared well in the area of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers.
Short-term Care Quality
The last category we scored is short-term care. Unfortunately, we gave it an F for this area, which is a poor grade. Our short-term care grades are based on a facility's quantity of highly-skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This includes a wide spectrum of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, in addition to other forms of therapy. Given its grade in this area, we weren't surprised to learn that this facility is well below average in terms of its number of registered nurse and physical therapy hours provided to its residents based on the figures we looked at. The final measure we looked at in this area is the percentage of patients who ultimately returned home from the facility. This nursing home struggled quite a bit in this area as well, with just 4.2 percent of its residents returning home.
