Facility Inspections

Grade: A-plus

On top of receiving a great overall rating, this nursing home also received an A+ inspection rating. This is based on the facility's recent inspection reports. An A+ in this area is one of the best complements we can offer a facility. Inspection scores weigh several factors, including deficiencies and substantiated complaints. You can find more information about each of these issues by reviewing copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. This facility was hit with 4 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none of the deficiencies were considered severe. This indicates that the government inspectors didn't deem any of the deficiencies to create an immediate threat to patient safety or health. A couple minor dings are not something to panic about.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

We also awarded this nursing home a score of A- for our short-term care score. In crafting these short-term care scores, we analyze the nursing home's skilled nursing services, including those performed by registered nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists and other types of skilled professionals. The purpose is to devise a tool for sizing up the rehabilitation services of different facilities. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. However, based on the information they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The last metric we looked at in this area is the percentage of residents who were able to leave the nursing home and return home. We discovered that 6.5 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B

Another strong feature for this facility is that it received an impressive nursing grade. In that area, we awarded this facility a grade of B. We looked at the qualifications of nurses working for the nursing home, as well as the quantity of hours those nurses were with patients, in computing our score in this area. This facility provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well in the area of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: B-minus

The next area we scored is long-term care, where this nursing home was awarded a grade of B-. This actually is this nursing home's least impressive category. This is still nothing to be ashamed of. If you are seeking anything other than rehabilitation, you should take a close look at long-term care grades. One of the factors we considered in addition to nurse's aid hours was vaccinations. Thankfully, this facility provided the pneumonia vaccination to 98.0198 percent of its patients. This place keeps its patients out of the hospital. In fact, it had only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
