Facility Inspections

Grade: A-plus

On top of being a great nursing home overall, it also received A+ inspections in recent years. Its inspections are virtually flawless. Our inspection scores are tied to several datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that receive favorable grades in this category have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. This particular nursing home had just a single deficiency on its inspection report and it was not one deemed to pose a threat to patient health or safety. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Nurse Quality

Grade: A

One of the other reasons we rated this nursing home so highly is that it received a very impressive nursing grade. In that category, we gave this nursing home a grade of A. Our nursing score analyzes a handful of components, many of which are tied to levels of nurse staffing. This nursing home averages 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well when it comes to minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

The next area we analyzed is long-term care. Contributing to its elite resume, this facility also excelled in this area. In fact, we awarded it a grade of of A- in the category. If you are looking for services other than short-term rehabilitation, you should take a close look at each facility's long-term care ratings. Once we concluded our assessment of the amount of care provided by nurses, we next considered the nursing home's vaccination data. This nursing home vaccinated 89.57056 percent of its patients against pneumonia. Clearly, this nursing home is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its residents out of the hospital. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

In the last area, this nursing home also was awarded a very strong short-term care score, with a grade of A-. This finished off a first-rate profile. With our short-term care score, we try to forge a fair barometer for rehabilitation. In doing so, we assess a facility's level of skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as occupational therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. However, based on the data they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The final statistic we assessed in this area is the percentage of patients that who were able to eventually return home from the facility. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home as opposed to remaining at the nursing home on a permanent basis.
