Short-term Care Quality
On top of receiving a great overall score, this facility also received an A+ short-term care grade. In calculating our short-term care scores, we assess a facility's levels of highly skilled nursing services, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists respiratory therapists and other highly skilled individuals. This area is more often than not a fair assessment of the facility's ability to rehabilitate patients. Fortunately, it looks like this facility employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we considered the number of patients that eventually returned home from this nursing home. We found that 6.8 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home.
Nurse Quality
In addition, this facility received high marks in the area of nursing. As a result, it received one of our highest grades in that category with a score of A+. There are quite a few datapoints within this category. Most of these datapoints reflect the quantity of nurse staffing. This facility provided 0.6 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well when it comes to minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Facility Inspections
In addition, this facility also received excellent government inspections in recent years. We gave it one of our best grades in that category, with a grade of A-. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in determining these inspection ratings. One of those factors is deficiencies. You should keep in mind that the severity of these deficiencies is arguably more meaningful than the number of deficiencies, as some end up being quite minor. This place was assessed 3 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none of the deficiencies were considered to be severe. This means that the government inspectors did not consider any of these deficiencies an imminent threat to resident safety or health. The fact that none of the deficiencies were severe leaves us less concerned with this inspection report.
Long-term Care Quality
The next area we graded was long-term care. We gave this nursing home one of our more favorable grades in that category, with a B. Although this wasn't as high as some of its other grades, it is nevertheless an excellent grade. When facilities receive a score in this range in long-term care it typically means it has plenty of staff and is a quality place to live on a permanent basis. On top of assessing the amount of care provided by aids and other staff, we also looked at the number of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This facility gave the vaccine to 98.46154 percent of its patients. Vaccines are critical to keeping patients healthy. Clearly, this place is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its residents out of the hospital. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.
