Facility Inspections

Grade: A-plus

In addition to receiving a great overall score, this nursing home received an A+ inspection grade. This is based on its recent inspection reports. An A+ in this category is one of the best complements we can offer a nursing home. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in computing our inspection grades. One of those factors is health deficiencies. You should keep in mind that the severity of these deficiencies is arguably more important than the quantity of deficiencies, as some deficiencies end up being quite insignificant. While this place had some minor dings on its report, it had zero severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are those labeled as categories G, H, I, J, K and L. This means the government inspectors didn't consider any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient health or safety. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: A

Among its many impressive scores, this facility received a top-shelf long-term care grade. In fact, we awarded it a grade of A in that area. Facilities that excel in this category typically provide residents with closer supervision and stay on top of routine medical care. Once we assessed the quantity of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we then looked at the nursing home's vaccination records. This facility vaccinated 98.0198 percent of its patients for pneumonia, which is far higher than most nursing homes. Finally, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

The third category we assessed was short-term care. Contributing to its dominant resume, this facility also performed well in this area. In fact, we awarded it a of A- for that category. Our short-term care scores are based in part on the facility's quantity of skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This means a wide scope of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other variations of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not every nursing home employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, according to the information this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the percentage of patients that who were able to eventually return home from this facility. We found that 0 percent of this facility's residents returned home.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B-plus

The fourth category we assessed is nursing, where this nursing home received a grade of B+. This completed a very impressive report card. Not many facilities earned a B+ or higher in each of our categories. Our nursing rating is primarily based on the facility's nurse staffing. This particular nursing home provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in the area of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
