Nurse Quality

In addition to being a quality nursing home overall, this nursing home really excelled in nursing, where it received an A. Few nursing homes performed better in this category. When calculating a facility's nursing score, we assess the number of hours nurses are caring for residents as well as the level of skill of those nurses. This particular nursing home provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. In the area of short-term care, we endeavor to qualify indicators of a facility's rehabilitation services. We look at the facility's skilled nursing services, including the ones performed by registered nurses and physical and occupational therapists. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the data they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The final measure we looked at in this category is the number of residents who were able to leave the nursing home and return home.
