Facility Inspections

Grade: A-plus

In addition to faring well overall, this facility also received a nearly flawless inspection report. As a result, it received one of our best grades in that category with an A+. Inspection scores are based on several pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that receive favorable grades in this area have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these facilities should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. While this place had some deficiencies on its inspection report, none of them were serious based on CMS' scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

We also gave this facility a grade of A+ for its long-term care grade. When nursing homes receive this kind of grade in long-term care it is usually a good sign for patient care and indicates that the place is well-staffed with nurses and aids. Once we assessed the amount of care provided by aids and other staff, we turned to the facility's vaccination records. This facility vaccinated 99.60159 percent of its residents against pneumonia, which is far higher than most nursing homes. Lastly, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had only 0.02 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
