This city's nursing homes received a phenomenal city grade of A-, so what this city lacks in quantity, it makes up for by having high quality nursing homes. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Eugene, which received a city grade of B+. As good as the nursing homes are in Eugene, we found Albany to be rated even higher. Finally, this city's category grades were every bit as impressive as its overall city grade. You can find more information about these in the next paragraph.
To pair with its strong overall grade, we awarded Albany an A for our inspections category. Perhaps the most important factor we consider in determining our inspection grades is deficiencies. Deficiencies are found on a facility's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes with better grades in this area most likely avoided the more severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. We also wanted to point out that we awarded the city an A in our nursing rating. Wrapping up its profile, the city earned a grade of B+ for its short-term care grade and a B+ in long-term care. We truly found this place to be strong everywhere we looked.
