For comparison's sake, we also looked at the nursing homes in the nearby city of Rogers, which received a city grade of C. We found Grove to be a bit better. On top of this, Grove is the twelfth best city in the state of Oklahoma according to our rankings.
In addition to receiving a strong overall grade, this city's nursing homes performed spectacularly well in our inspection category. In fact, we awarded the city an A- for this category, which is one of our highest scores. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in calculating these inspection ratings. One key factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of these deficiencies is arguably more meaningful than the number of deficiencies, as some of these are quite insignificant. In addition, Grove earned a grade of B for our short-term care category. In the last two categories, we gave the city middle of the road grades for our nursing and long-term care areas.
