There are two nursing homes in Union, Mississippi, which at least gives you a few options. While it only has a couple of nursing homes, this city's nursing homes received an excellent city grade of B+. We also wanted to point out that this city's city grade even surpassed the city grade of facilities in the nearby city of Brandon. The best aspect of Union's strong report card is its nursing homes' inspection scores. We discuss inspections in the next section
To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this city an A in our inspections category. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in computing these inspection grades. One critical factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of these deficiencies is usually more important than the number of deficiencies, as some deficiencies end up being quite minor. In addition, the city also excelled in the area of government nursing with a grade of B+. In our final two categories, we gave Union a B in our long-term care category and a B- for short-term care.
