With 3,350 people, Frankfort, Michigan is a small city. There are only 2 nursing homes there, which does not provide you with too many options. Despite only having a couple of nursing homes, this city received a top-notch city grade of A. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Traverse City, which received a city grade of B+. As impressed as we were with the nursing homes in Traverse City, we found Frankfort to be in a totally different league. In addition to receiving a strong overall grade, most of the nursing homes in Frankfort performed spectacularly well in short-term care. In fact, we awarded Frankfort a grade of A+ for that category, which is one of our best scores. Short-term care scores of this caliber are a favorable sign for the levels of physical and occupational therapy staffing at the nursing homes in this city.
