With 3,350 people, Frankfort, Michigan is a small city. There are only 2 nursing homes there, which does not provide you with too many options. Despite only having a couple of nursing homes, this city received a top-notch city grade of A-. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Traverse City, which received a city grade of B. As impressed as we were with the nursing homes in Traverse City, we found Frankfort to be even better. In addition to receiving a strong overall grade, most of the facilities in Frankfort performed extremely well in short-term care. In fact, we awarded Frankfort a grade of A+ for this category, which is one of our highest scores. Cities with these kinds of short-term care scores usually have plenty of nursing homes with physical therapy, highly skilled nursing and other services related to rehabilitation. The city also really excelled in the area of nursing, where we gave it a grade of A-.
