Glasgow, Kentucky is a small city with 30,349 people. The city has 6 nursing homes, which is a decent selection for a city of this size. Impressively, the nursing homes here received a phenomenal city grade of A-. In fact, this city's city grade far surpassed the city grade of facilities in the local city of Gallatin. While the nursing homes in Gallatin are not that bad, we found Glasgow to be in a totally different league. Glasgow is also one of the top ten rated cities in all of Kentucky.
This city received a strong overall grade, but we also wanted to point out that some of its facilities received nearly flawless health inspections the past few years. We gave Glasgow an impressive grade of A+ in this area. Perhaps the most important factor we consider in computing our inspection ratings is deficiencies. These deficiencies are found on a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities with better grades in this category most likely dodged the more severe deficiencies involving health risks or even death. In addition, we also wanted to point out that we gave the city an A- for our long-term care rating. Wrapping up its quality report card, Glasgow received a B+ in our nursing category and a B for short-term care. We really found Glasgow to be very competent in every category.
