With 3,264 people, Seneca, Kansas is a relatively small city. There are only 2 nursing homes in the city, which does not give you too many options. In fact, this ended up being the ninth best city in Kansas according to our ratings. As mentioned above, this city's nursing homes received a great overall grade, but we especially wanted to emphasize that some of the city's facilities received nearly perfect health inspections the past few years. We awarded Seneca an elite grade of A+ in this area. Our inspection scores are tied to many datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that receive favorable grades in this area typically have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. The city performed spectacularly well in the category of long-term care as well. As a result, we awarded it an A in that category. In our final two categories, the city received a B+ for its nursing score and a B- in short-term care.
