Manhattan, Kansas is a relatively small city with 60,892 people. It has only one nursing home, which is less than we were hoping for. We were relieved to discover that, this place's sole nursing home received a top-notch grade of A-, so at least there is one quality option. In fact, Manhattan turned out to be the fifth best city in Kansas according to our rankings. The best aspect of this facility's strong profile is its inspection reports. Inspection reports are discussed in the next paragraph
To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this city's sole nursing home an A+ for our inspections rating. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in computing these inspection ratings. One critical factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of these deficiencies is arguably more meaningful than the number of deficiencies, as some deficiencies can be relatively insignificant. This nursing home also received an impressive grade of A in this category. Wrapping up its profile, Manhattan earned grades of A- and C for our nursing and short-term care areas respectively. Outside of its short-term care grade, this city's three other grades were outstanding.
