Seaford, Delaware offers only three nursing homes to choose from, which is a limited selection. The nursing homes in this city received a phenomenal city grade of A-. Even with only a few nursing homes, this is still quite an accomplishment. By way of comparison, we gave the nursing homes in the local city of Bridgeton a city grade of D, which is a very poor grade. Naturally, we found the nursing homes in Seaford to be rated much higher than the ones in Bridgeton. This city's strong report card was highlighted by its nursing homes' short-term care grades, which we will address in the next section.
As mentioned above, this city's nursing homes received a great overall grade, but we especially wanted to point out that we gave Seaford an impressive grade of A in short-term care. Cities with these kinds of short-term care ratings typically have plenty of nursing homes with physical therapy, occupational therapy and other services associated with rehabilitation. We also wanted to emphasize that we awarded the city an A- for our nursing rating. Wrapping up its impressive report card, the city received favorable grades for our inspections and long-term care categories as well.
