Seaford, Delaware offers only three nursing homes to choose from, which is a limited selection. The nursing homes in this city received a phenomenal city grade of A-. Even with only a few nursing homes, this is still quite an accomplishment. By way of comparison, we gave the nursing homes in the local city of Bridgeton a city grade of C, which is much lower grade. Naturally, we found the facilities in Seaford to be in a totally different league than the ones in Bridgeton. This city's strong report card was highlighted by its nursing homes' short-term care grades, which is addressed in the next paragraph.
In addition to having excellent nursing homes overall, this place really excelled in our short-term care category where it received a grade of A. Not many cities earned a better grade in this category. Cities with these kinds of short-term care scores typically have plenty of nursing homes with physical therapy, occupational therapy and other services associated with rehabilitation. We also wanted to emphasize that we awarded the city an A in our nursing category. Wrapping up its straight A profile, Seaford earned an A- for inspections and an A- in long-term care.
