We looked at the only nursing home in Waynesboro, Virginia. Fortunately,, this city's lone nursing home received an excellent grade of A, so at least you have one quality option. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Harrisonburg, which which also appears to be a strong option. However, we found that this facility in Waynesboro is in a totally different league than most of the facilities in Harrisonburg. One of the major highlights of this nursing home's profile is its short-term care rating. Short-term care grades are discussed in the next paragraph.
In addition to receiving a strong overall grade, this city's only nursing home performed remarkably well in the area of short-term care. In fact, we awarded it a grade of A+ for that category, which is one of our highest scores. In the category of short-term care, we try to qualify measures of a facility's rehabilitation. We look at a nursing home's skilled nursing services, including those performed by registered nurses and physical therapists. This place also really excelled in the category of inspections, where it received a grade of A+. Wrapping up its straight A report card, we gave the city an A for its long-term care score and an A- in the area of nursing.
