We looked at the only nursing home in Waynesboro, Virginia. Fortunately,, this city's lone nursing home received an excellent grade of A, so at least you have one quality option. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Lynchburg, which which also appears to be a strong option. However, we found that this facility in Waynesboro is in a totally different league than most of the facilities in Lynchburg. One of the major highlights of Waynesboro's profile is its inspection grade. Inspection grades are discussed in the next paragraph.
In addition to performing well in its overall grade, this city's sole nursing home performed remarkably well in the area of inspections. In fact, it received a nearly perfect inspection report this year. Consequently, it received one of our highest ratings in that area with a grade of A+. Inspection grades are based on many datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that receive favorable grades in this category have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. This city also earned an elite grade of A in this category. Wrapping up its straight A report card, Waynesboro earned excellent grades for our long-term care and nursing areas as well.
