This facility's next highest category is its short-term care score, where it was given a C. In our short-term care rating, we seek to create a valuable measure for rehabilitation services. In doing so, we assess a facility's offerings of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as occupational therapy. This nursing home employs both physical therapists and registered nurses. Not all facilities employ these skilled professionals. Lastly, we considered the number of patients who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. In fact, we found that it outperformed the majority of facilities in the nation with 50.5 percent of its patients returning home. This is a higher rate than most facilities.

Switching gears to the next area, this facility did not fare very well. With an abysmal grade of F in nursing, this is this nursing home's poorest area. Our nursing score is based on quite a few data points, most of which are associated with quantities of nurse staffing. This particular nursing home averaged a meager 3.3 hours of nursing care per patient per day. This number is quite a bit below average. On top of receiving below average marks for nursing hours, this place was less impressive in some of the quality-based measures we looked at in determining our nursing scores. We looked at the percent of patients experiencing pressure ulcers and found this nursing home was at approximately 150 percent of the national average in this metric.
