Nurse Quality

Grade: A-minus

We want to draw your attention to the fact that this nursing home received a much better grade for nursing than it received overall. In fact, it received one of our highest grades in that category with a score of A-. The nursing score is based on several datapoints, many of which are tied to levels of nurse staffing. This nursing home averages 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in terms of minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B-plus

Additionally, we also would like to note that this facility was awarded positive short-term care marks in this assessment. We gave them one of our better grades in this area, with a grade of B+. This proved to be the nursing home's second highest score. In computing our short-term care ratings, we scrutinize the nursing home's levels of highly skilled nursing services, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists occupational therapists and other highly skilled individuals. This rating is frequently a useful assessment of a facility's ability to rehabilitate patients. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not every facility employs these skilled professionals. On the other hand, based on the information they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The last datapoint we assessed in this area is the number of residents who were able to leave the nursing home and return home. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's residents were able to return home.

Facility Inspections

Grade: B-minus

Turning to our inspection category, it appears this facility has earned respectable inspections in recent years as well. We gave it a B- in this category. Inspection scores account for a host of factors included in a nursing home's inspection report. One key criteria we rely on is the number and severity of deficiencies. This particular nursing home received 4 deficiencies on its inspection report. Overall, this is still a good inspection report, but we'd always recommend looking into any deficiencies you find troubling.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: C

Turning to our final area, this facility was given a respectable long-term care grade of C. In forming our long-term care grades, we quantify the facility's personal care services. Once we assessed the volume of care provided by nurses, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination data. Candidly, we were a bit concerned this nursing home vaccinated only 89.140274 percent of its residents for pneumonia. Fortunately, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.
