Facility Inspections
We also wanted to point out that this nursing home earned near flawless government inspections in recent years. We gave them an impressive grade of A+ in this area. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in determining these inspection scores. One of those factors is health deficiencies. You should keep in mind that the severity of these deficiencies is usually more important than the number of deficiencies, as some of these end up being relatively minor. This place was assessed 4 deficiencies on its inspection report, but none of the deficiencies were considered to be severe. This means that CMS didn't deem any of these deficiencies an imminent threat to patient safety or health. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Short-term Care Quality
This facility also received an A+ for its short-term care score. In computing our short-term care scores, we look at the nursing home's skilled nursing services, including those performed by registered nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists and other types of skilled professionals. The purpose is to create a measure for comparing the rehabilitation services of nursing homes. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not every facility employs these skilled professionals. On the other hand, according to the information this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Lastly, we considered the percentage of patients who returned home from this facility. We found that 6.6 percent of this nursing home's patients were able to return home.

Long-term Care Quality
The next area we assessed was long-term care. This nursing home was superb in our long-term care rating as well. We awarded them an elite score of A+ in this category. When nursing homes receive a score in this range in long-term care it typically means it has plenty of staff and is an overall good place to live on a permanent basis. After looking at the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination record. This facility vaccinated 97.27273 percent of its residents against pneumonia, which is significantly higher than the average nursing home. Clearly, this facility is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its patients out of the hospital. It had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
Nurse Quality
Turning to our final area, this facility also excelled in the nursing category. In fact, we awarded it an A- for this category. This wrapped up a straight A profile. When computing our nursing grades, we assess both staffing levels and the training levels of the nurses. This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also factored a few quality measures into our nursing grades. This facility was relatively weak in two of the major areas we focus on, with below average scores for minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. These areas are generally reliable indicators of the quality of nursing care provided.
