To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for its nursing grade. When calculating our nursing grades, we factor in both nursing hours and the levels of licensure of those nurses. This particular nursing home provided 0.6 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well when it comes to avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Adding to its strong profile, this facility also performed well in our long-term care category. In fact, we awarded it a score of A in that category. In a long-term care environment, the facility's primary objective is to maintain residents' quality of life and keep them safe. One of the factors we considered on top of nursing hours was vaccines. This facility administered the pneumonia vaccine to 88 percent of its patients. Although its vaccination rate was a bit lower than we hoped for, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. Fortunately, it looks like this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not every nursing home employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the information this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists.
