Facility Inspections

Grade: A-plus

In addition to performing well overall, this facility received nearly flawless government inspections. Consequently, it received one of our highest grades in that area with a grade of A+. Our inspection ratings are based on items located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that receive favorable grades in this area have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. This particular nursing home had just a single deficiency on its inspection report and it was not one deemed to pose a threat to patient health or safety. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: A

We also would like to note the fact that this nursing home received an elite grade of A in our long-term care category. When facilities receive a score in this range in long-term care it typically means it has plenty of staff and is an overall good place to live on a permanent basis. On top of looking at the quantity of care provided by aids and other staff, we also looked at the number of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This facility vaccinated 98.73418 percent of its residents, which is very impressive. Pneumonia sadly can be a life or death ailment for nursing home patients so we like it when a facility does not leave this to chance. Clearly, this nursing home is doing something right in this area as it also excelled at keeping its patients out of the hospital. It had only 0.03 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B-plus

Additionally, this nursing home also received favorable short-term care grades in our assessment. In fact, we gave it one of our better scores in that category, with a score of B+. Our short-term care ratings are vital for patients looking for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation generally mandates additional skilled nursing services. This includes a wide range of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. However, according to the data this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the percentage of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 5.6 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.
