Inspection ratings are tied to many datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that excel in this category tend to have few deficiencies on those reports. It had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

Another one of this facility's impressive category grades came in the area of nursing care. We awarded them one of our better scores in that area, with a grade of B+. Our short-term care scores are believed to be more important for residents needing a nursing home for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation typically mandates higher levels of highly-skilled nursing. Skilled nursing means not merely nursing services, but also physical and respiratory therapy, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals.
