Facility Inspections
Although we graded this facility incredibly poorly overall, it actually earned a fairly impressive government inspection report this year. As a result, it received one of our more favorable scores in that area with a B. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in determining these inspection scores. One of those factors is health deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of deficiencies is arguably more important than the quantity of deficiencies, as some can be quite insignificant. This particular nursing home received 8 deficiencies on its inspection report. Overall, this is still a solid inspection report, but we'd always recommend looking into any deficiencies you find troubling.
Nurse Quality
Remarkably, we awarded this nursing home a grade of C for our nursing rating, which isn't a bad grade. We assessed the licensure of nurses working for the nursing home, in addition to the quantity of hours those nurses worked with patients, in calculating our grade in this category. This nursing home averages just 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a very low figure. Despite having low quantities of nursing care, this place surprisingly excelled in some of the quality measures we assessed. In fact, it scored well in the area of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls.

Long-term Care Quality
Another unfortunate development is the F this nursing home was given in the category of long-term care. If you are seeking anything other than rehabilitation, you should take a close look at each nursing home's long-term care ratings. In addition to looking at the quantity of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we analyzed the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This facility administered the vaccine to 97.83133 percent of its patients. Surprisingly, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this facility had fewer hospitalizations than many nursing homes. Unfortunately, some of its other scores in the category were not as favorable as these.
Short-term Care Quality
Switching gears to the next area, this facility did not fare very well in this category either. With a rock bottom grade of F in short-term care, this is really as bad as it gets. Our short-term care ratings are vital for individuals needing rehabilitation. Rehabilitation typically mandates additional highly-skilled nursing services. This means a vast range of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Based on its grade in this area, we weren't surprised to discover that this nursing home was well below average in terms of its quantity of physical therapy and registered nurse hours offered to its residents based on the figures we assessed. Honestly, this was what we expected to find. Lastly, we considered the percentage of patients that ultimately returned home from this facility. This facility didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 3.5 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home.
