Facility Inspections
This nursing home's grades were terrible across the board. We especially want to draw your attention to its inspection grade where it received an F. This isn't a good sign for its inspection reports. For nursing homes with poor inspection scores, you should scrutinize any severe deficiencies found on their inspection reports. This nursing home had 7 deficiencies on its inspection report. The only favorable thing we found is that none of these deficiencies were in the categories that indicate they posed a threat to resident safety or health. Finally, this facility was cited by CMS for possible abuse or neglect. We would not recommend this facility under any circumstance.
Nurse Quality
One of the other reasons we graded this facility so highly is that it earned a very impressive nursing rating. This proved to be its second best category grade. In that category, we gave this facility a grade of F. There are several subcategories included in this category. Many of these subcategories relate to the quantity of nurse staffing. This facility averaged a meager 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident on a daily basis. This is a very low total compared to most nursing homes. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in calculating our nursing scores. This nursing home performed well when it comes to avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls.

Short-term Care Quality
Tragically, we gave this facility an F for its short-term care score. Our short-term care grade is commonly used to score a facility's performance with rehabilitation To provide highly rated rehabilitation services, nursing homes generally need to offer higher levels of highly skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists and other highly skilled individuals. Considering its score in this area, we weren't stunned to find that this nursing home was well below average in terms of the number of physical therapy and registered nurse hours offered to its patients based on the figures we looked at. The final statistic we assessed in this category is the number of residents who were able to return home from the nursing home. This facility struggled quite a bit in this area as well, with just 3.7 percent of its patients returning home. This was quite a bit below the national average.
Long-term Care Quality
Moving on to our fourth area, this nursing home didn't perform well here either. Due to a very poor grade of F in long-term care, this is about as terrible as it gets. Long-term care scores in this range generally are a bad sign for the quantity and quality of care provided by nurses and aids, as well as the levels of routine medical care available. On top of looking at the quantity of care provided by aids and other staff, we looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. Candidly, we were a bit worried that this facility administered the vaccine to a relatively low 81.914894 percent of its patients. To our surprise, this nursing home was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this facility had fewer hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. This is its best feature in this category.
