Facility Inspections
On top of performing well overall, this nursing home also earned a nearly flawless inspection report. Therefore, it earned one of our highest grades in that area with an A+. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in determining these inspection grades. One key factor is health deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of these deficiencies is usually more meaningful than the quantity of deficiencies, as some of these end up being quite minor. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we were able to find deficiency data for this nursing home. We wish we had more information about this facility. Without having complete deficiency data, it was difficult to evaluate it in the inspections category.
Short-term Care Quality
Among the reasons we rated this nursing home so favorably is that it was awarded a favorable short-term care grade. In fact, short-term care turned out to be its second best category score. In that category, we gave this facility a grade of A. In our short-term care grade, we strive to forge a sound measure for rehabilitation. In this process, we analyze the facility's offerings of skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as respiratory therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. However, according to the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Finally, we looked at the percentage of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 5.8 percent of this facility's patients returned home.

Nurse Quality
This facility really excelled in the area of nursing, where it received a grade of A-. Few nursing homes performed better in this area. Our nursing rating weighs a handful of factors, however, the paramount consideration is the number of nurse hours spent with patients. This facility provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This nursing home performed very well in the area of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
Long-term Care Quality
The last category we looked at was long-term care, which is this facility's worst area. We awarded this facility a grade of D in that category. However, you shouldn't assess this nursing home solely on one weak area, as it was given multiple very strong scores in other areas. Nursing homes that do not fare well in long-term care typically aren't as well-staffed and are lagging in some of the areas of routine personal care we assessed. Once we assessed the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then looked at the nursing home's vaccination records. We were disappointed to learn that this nursing home vaccinated just 80.19802 percent of its patients against pneumonia. To our surprise, this place was actually decent at keeping its residents out of the hospital. Indeed, it had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. This is its best feature in this category.
