One of the reasons this ended up being a strong facility is that it earned a very impressive inspection rating. In fact, inspections is its best category grade. In this area, we awarded this facility an A. Our inspection scores are tied to datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. The final category we rated is long-term care. We awarded this nursing home a D in long-term care, making this its weakest area. When nursing homes receive a grade in this range in long-term care it typically means the facility didn't perform well in our measures relating to patient care. In addition to looking at the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we also looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This facility administered the vaccine to 68.78049 percent of its patients. This is pretty significantly below what we were hoping for. Surprisingly, this place was actually able to limit hospitalizations.
