This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can generally be avoided by providing better nursing care, such as having a protocol of moving a patient more frequently.

If you are seeking anything other than rehabilitation, you should take a close look at each nursing home's long-term care ratings. One of the statistics we considered in addition to nurse's aid hours was vaccinations. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that this facility submitted information on its vaccination levels. Clearly, this place is doing something right in this area as it also excelled at keeping its residents out of the hospital. In fact, it had only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
