Long-term Care Quality
In addition to receiving a great overall grade, this nursing home received an A+ in the area of long-term care. If you are seeking anything other than short-term rehabilitation, you should take a close look at each facility's long-term care ratings. One of the statistics we considered on top of nurse's aid hours was vaccinations. This facility provided the pneumonia vaccination to 89.77273 percent of its residents. Clearly, this place is doing something right in this area as it also excelled at keeping its patients out of the hospital. It had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.
Facility Inspections
This facility also earned an A+ inspection score, making it one of the few nursing homes to receive multiple A+'s in our categories. This is based on the nursing home's government inspections. Inspection grades weigh a host of factors found on a nursing home's inspection report. One key criteria we look at is the number and severity of deficiencies. Nursing homes with higher grades in this area tend to have very few of these severe deficiencies. While this place had a few deficiencies on its government inspection report, none of them were serious based on CMS' deficiency scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Nurse Quality
This facility received a very good nursing grade this year as well. It received one of our better scores in that category with a grade of B+. Finally, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This nursing home performed very well in the area of minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
Short-term Care Quality
In the final category we graded, this facility was given an impressive grade grade of B+ in our short-term care category. With this score, the facility rounded out a first-rate report card. Short-term care ratings are meaningful for people in need of rehabilitation. Rehabilitation generally requires more skilled nursing services. Skilled nursing includes a vast range of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. However, based on the data this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The last datapoint we looked at in this category is the percentage of residents who were able to leave the facility and return home. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.
