We want to point out that this facility outperformed its overall score in the category of inspections. In fact, it received a nearly flawless inspection report this year. As a result, we gave it one of our highest scores in that category with an A+. Inspection ratings weigh several factors, including deficiencies, substantiated complaints and federal fines. Although this place had some deficiencies on its government inspection report, none were major deficiencies based on CMS' scale. The fact that none of the deficiencies were severe leaves us less concerned with this inspection report.

Nursing homes that excel in this category tend to provide residents with better supervision and stay on top of routine medical care. One of the factors we considered after nurse's aid hours is vaccines. This facility administered the pneumonia vaccine to 94.35028 percent of its residents. This is a great way to avoid unnecessary deaths and hospitalizations for the senior population. Finally, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.

This nursing home's nursing grade appears to be one of its better features. The facility received a grade of C in this category. The nursing grade assesses a handful of components, many of which are associated with quantities of nurse staffing. This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a much lower figure than we are used to seeing. Lastly, we also looked at several nursing quality measures. Our short-term care grade is often employed to measure a nursing home's performance with rehabilitation. To offer highly rated rehabilitation services, facilities generally need to provide better levels of skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and other highly trained professionals.
