On top of earning a great overall grade, this facility excelled in our shot-term care category. In fact, we gave it an A for that category. In our short-term care assessment, we try to create a meaningful gauge for rehabilitation. In this process, we assess the facility's offerings of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as occupational therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a nursing home has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can typically be prevented if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.
