One of the reasons this place is a strong facility is that it earned a very impressive inspection grade. In fact, inspections is its best category. In that area, we awarded this facility a grade of A-. Inspection scores are based on several pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that score well in this category have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Although this place had some deficiencies on its government inspection report, none of them were major deficiencies based on CMS' deficiency scale. A few minor dings aren't the end of the world.

Among this facility's other strengths is its elite nursing grade. We awarded them one of our better scores in that area, with a grade of A-. Nursing ratings are primarily based on a facility's nurse staffing. This particular nursing home provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This nursing home performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a facility has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can often be prevented if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.

This nursing home fared well in the area of short-term care also. Indeed, we gave it a grade of A- for that area, which happens to be one of our most elite grades. With our short-term care rating, we strive to create a meaningful barometer for rehabilitation. In doing so, we analyze a nursing home's scope of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as occupational therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these types of nurses. Although this wasn't as favorable as some of this nursing home's other scores, it is nevertheless not a poor grade. Long-term care grades assess a nursing home's assistance with daily living rather than the skilled therapy and medical services that are critical to a skilled nursing facility. One of the statistics we considered on top of nursing hours is vaccinations. Thankfully, this facility provided the pneumonia vaccination to 97.61905 percent of its patients. This nursing home keeps its residents out of the hospital. It had only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.
