This place fared well when it comes to minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. Many consider these datapoints to be reliable measures of the quality of nursing care.

Among this nursing home's alarming category grades was an F for its inspection score. Generally, this means we found some red flags on its government inspection reports. We would advise paying special attention to any deficiencies on a nursing home's inspection reports when it receives this poor of an inspection grade. We suggest you pay close attention to the severity of the deficiencies. This nursing home was hit with 5 deficiencies by government inspectors. The only positive thing we found is that none of the deficiencies were in the categories that suggest that they caused a risk to patient safety or health. Lastly, we also would like to point out that this nursing home was assessed significant government fines in recent years totaling over $100,000. This typically indicates that a bad performance has been an issue for several years.

The next area we graded is long-term care. This facility's was given a bottom of the barrel long-term care grade where it received an F. Long-term care grades of this caliber generally are a bad sign for the quantity and quality of care provided by nurses and aids, as well as the levels of routine medical care available. After we finished looking at the volume of nursing care, we then analyzed the nursing home's vaccination records. Candidly, we were a bit worried that this nursing home vaccinated only 62.22222 percent of its patients for pneumonia. To our surprise, this facility was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this nursing home had fewer hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. This was its best score in this category.

Switching gears to the last category, this nursing home really did not fare well in this area either. With a rock bottom grade of F in short-term care, this is about as bad as it gets. Our short-term care grades are based on a nursing home's quantity of skilled highly skilled professionals. This includes a wide range of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other variations of therapy. As you might expect, we found that this place provides significantly less registered nurse and physical therapist hours per patient than a typical nursing home. Lastly, we assessed the percentage of patients that were able to return home from this nursing home. This facility didn't fare well here either.
